Literacy Training at the StoryTent
Traveling Stories boosts literacy through a rewards system that motivates even reluctant readers. At the Grossmont Center Farmers Market, a weekly “StoryTent” invites kids to read alone, with a volunteer, or be read to. Each book earns 1 “book-buck,” which can be saved or spent on prizes, teaching delayed gratification.
